Lyrical Opposition, is an officially registered poetry slam organization with the PSI. They currently operate out of the Urban Center in the South of Market district of San Francisco. There are currently in the process of becoming a certified slam venue. Lyrical Opposition hosts poetry slams, open mics, auditions and will soon be hosting hip-hop slams in the near future. We believe in the power of the genre and its ability to convey a message through the artful use of language. We welcome all styles at our open mic & slams. From strong storytellers, comics, and randomists. We strive to uplift our communities and bring hope through words that communicate important messages and speak life. We are currently building our team and always willing to build with other artists.
