Lacy Nguyen is Vietnamese-American poet from Lynnwood, Washington. Her journey with poetry began in college, where she found poetry to be a tool to express her frustrations about injustice. She believes in the power of storytelling to bring healing, both personally and intergenerationally. Her art is a reflection of her desire to use words to bring medicine to the soul. In her 9-5 job, she works at a shelter resource center serving the unhoused community. Lacy also proudly serves as a program director, and believes strongly in LO’s mission to decolonize institutions, and reimagine secular and religious spaces free from white supremacy and heteropatriarchy. In her spare time, she loves to eat good food and take long nature walks.
