Hyphy Theology is an experiential and empowering expression of faith and culture, inspired by the Bay Area’s hyphy movement and the deep exploration of Creator through theology. It celebrates the beauty of divine creation as seen through the unique lens of Bay Area geography, music, art, poetry, and illustration. Rooted in inspiration and authenticity, Hyphy Theology is inspired by the sacred in the creative, the spiritual in the everyday, and the presence of Creator in the pulse of the people.

This year, we want artists to express what Lent means to them in 2025 through visual art. Whether it’s the journey of self-reflection, the concept of wilderness, the struggle between empires and people, or the decisions and challenges we face, we want to see how you interpret this sacred season.
This Lent season, we are collaborating with foster youth for a duffel bag drive. We encourage you to donate new or gently used bags at the Art Gallery on 4/11/25.
There are over 4,000 foster kids in the Bay Area.
